Biology and Geography Trip to Costa Rica

05/11/2024
Two girls sit on wooden benches; one holds up a yellow cocoa pod while the other looks at it, surprised. Several people are seated in the background.

Over half term, our senior biologists and geographers jetted off to experience everything that Costa Rica has to offer!

Their jam-packed agenda included:

Sailing through the canals of the Tortuguero National Park, spotting treetop and riverbank wildlife
Learning the ancient Aztec and Mayan process of grinding raw cacao beans to make chocolate#
Exploring the rainforest canopy via hanging bridges and zip lines, learning about the medicinal benefits of the rainforest, and spotting sloths!
Visiting the La Paz waterfalls on the way to a wildlife sanctuaryAn incredible opportunity for our budding biologists and geographers to consolidate and witness what they are learning at school first-hand!
