On Thursday 3 July, our entire Francis Holland Regent’s Park community came together at the beautiful St Marylebone Parish Church for our annual Prize-Giving – a much-anticipated highlight of the school year. This uplifting event brought together pupils, staff, parents, and governors to celebrate the remarkable achievements and progress of our students across the 2024–25 academic year.
We were especially thrilled to welcome back journalist and proud Polished Corner, Nikhita Chulani (Class of 2010), as our guest speaker. Now a journalist at The Guardian, Nikhita gave an inspiring and heartfelt address, reflecting on her time at FHRP and the life lessons she took away from her time with us. She encouraged pupils to embrace their passions, take risks, and make the most of every opportunity that comes their way – lessons she carries with her in her career in fast-paced, global news reporting.
Our Head, Mrs Woodcock, opened the ceremony by celebrating the School’s many strengths – our strong community, academic ambition, and rich co-curricular life – alongside the tireless commitment of staff and the continued support of our families and governors. Her words were a reminder of the shared effort behind the success of each and every pupil here at Francis Holland Regent’s Park.
Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed moving and vibrant performances from across the School. Highlights included the Junior and Senior Chamber Choirs performing Gjeilo’s atmospheric Tundra, a lively excerpt from this year’s fantastic Junior Production of Alice in Wonderland, and a joyful final performance of Morris Gray’s Omnis Terra.
The ceremony closed with words from our Chair of Governors, Mr Patrick Sherrington, who offered thanks to parents and the school community for their vital role in supporting our pupils throughout their journeys with us, and for their wider support of the Francis Holland Schools Trust strategy.
Prize-Giving 2025 was a truly memorable celebration of the talent, creativity and hard work that define life at Francis Holland Regent’s Park. Warmest congratulations to all prize winners – and we wish our whole FHRP community a relaxing and well-earned summer break!
