During their LIFE Programme lessons this term, pupils in the Lower Fifth were challenged to set up and run a small business, starting with just £10!
From identifying a target market and spotting gaps within it, to sourcing materials and working collaboratively, the girls demonstrated impressive creativity, initiative and teamwork. Their ideas were brought to life at a lively lunchtime marketplace, where they had the opportunity to sell their products, with all profits donated to charity.
This project is a powerful example of how the LIFE Programme equips our pupils with the skills and knowledge they will need beyond school. Built around a spiral curriculum, the programme develops five core pillars – Futures, Digital, Oracy, Research, and Leadership & Enterprise – which are revisited and strengthened each year. Together, these strands support pupils in becoming forward-thinking, confident, curious and resilient young women, well prepared for the world ahead.
