SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is embedded across our curriculum, daily practices, and community ethos at Francis Holland Regent’s Park.
THINK GREEN.
We regularly support eco-focused charities like the WWF, and host vintage clothing sales to encourage reuse and reduce fashion waste, all while promoting sustainable style within the school community.
During global climate events like the COP summits, we lead themed workshops with external experts, often in partnership with neighbouring schools such as St Marylebone School. Quizzes, assemblies, and house point challenges further engage pupils, turning awareness into action.
At Francis Holland Regent’s Park, sustainability isn’t just encouraged – it’s lived every day, empowering students to become informed, proactive and responsible global citizens.
GREEN FLAG AWARD WINNERS!
Francis Holland Regent’s Park. We are proud to have earned Eco Schools Green Flag status in 2024, reflecting our deep commitment to environmental responsibility and education.
Our sustainability journey includes tangible, long-standing actions: Meat Free Mondays help reduce our carbon footprint, and we have eliminated single-use plastic water bottles across the school. We also promote responsible waste management through battery recycling and TerraCycle collection points for crisp and sweet packets.
Leadership in sustainability is actively nurtured. A dedicated Environmental Captain sits on the Head Girl’s Team, ensuring our eco-conscious values remain front and centre. She leads a team of Eco Representatives – one from every Form in each year group – who drive green initiatives and foster a culture of environmental stewardship throughout the school.
