BELONGING (EDIB)

Community
Three women sit on wooden stairs indoors, engaged in conversation and smiling.

We are committed to enabling and supporting a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils, staff and members of our school community

Four students, three in red school uniforms and one in a navy jumper, stand together indoors, talking and smiling near blue chairs.

TOGETHER ALWAYS.

At Francis Holland Regent’s Park, we aim to:

  • Promote equality
  • Celebrate diversity
  • Foster inclusivity
  • Promote belonging

The Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) Team is made up of a member of staff, the EDIB Lead, as well as year group EDIB Ambassadors and the EDIB Ambassador on the Head Girl’s Team. We have also partnered with the charity, Just Like Us, to train our EDIB Ambassadors and celebrate awareness and strengthen our LGBTQ+ messaging.

This group of staff and pupils work together to run Diversity Society as well as a range of school events. Assemblies, form times and lunch menus are dedicated to informative and celebratory events from Lunar New Year and Allies Week to religious holidays, which promotes cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. More widely, school assemblies, talks and PSHE lessons enhance an understanding of our multicultural society, to challenge conscious and unconscious prejudice, and to question stereotyping.
