Our Lower Fifth Music GCSE cohort had their first platform for live performance in a concert on Tuesday 17th January 2012. The instruments included voice, piano, violin, cello, trumpet, and oboe. There were ten pieces in total ranging from the Renaissance strings of Vivaldi and Corelli to the songs of Jerome Kern. Each girl overcame her initial nervousness to produce a fine performance which has helped her develop and refine the techniques she needs to do well in this qualification.
