From 10th to 16th July ten girls attended Wellington riding school accompanied by Miss Baig and Miss Hillier.It was very much a week of being surrounded by horses, dogs and countryside. The girls spent much of the day riding, either hacking in the countryside or having lessons with instructors, but they also had daily lectures on horse care and stable management.They were able to ride the same horse every day, which gave them the feeling that they were their 'own' horses; they were solely responsible for them throughout the week and spent much time grooming and cleaning them. The girls stayed in the stables for the whole week, but on Tuesday evening variety was provided with a trip to the local water park which they very much enjoyed.
